Booked to go to Prague or thinking about it? Well id recommend going Prague is such a beautiful (small) city.
Unfortunately the airport isnt in the city centre, its about 30-45mins out. They don't have a direct metro but they do have bery frequent buses and its easy to get a taxi if you need one. They are average prices/maybe more on cheaper side and everyone is very friendly.
On buses if you are travelling with large amount of luggage you will need to purchase a furth half price ticket for that (16 CZK). It costs more if you havent pre bought ur tickets and end up buying them with driver.
Where to stay:
If you ever look at a map of prague you will notice the Vltava River i recommend finding somewhere in between wenceslas square to the castle this will provide you with a central location. You can find cheap rates as well in the centre!❤️
Where to go:
Prague castle (you can go inside)
Charles Bridge - very busy but you will find lots of mini stalls and artists along this bridge
Old town sqaure - many food places around here, even if you go down alleys you will get to mini squares which are quieter but still have great food.
Prague astronomical clock
St vitus cathedral (located near castle)
Dancing house
Wenceslas square
John Lennon wall
Petrin tower (a mini eiffel tower)
The powder tower
Prague Zoo (make this a halfday/full day) quickest way is to get a taxi there.
Kampa Island (if you like art)
Where to eat;
You wont be stuck for food, they have places everywhere. You can eve find some quirky irish pubs!. You will often find restraunts along the waterfront, or on boats. I'd recommend booking this. You can just turn up but if its peak season, it might be busy.
